General access rights enable individuals or teams access to all projects in your cloud. This means that all details can be read and even edited if necessary. Therefore, assign these rights with great care and caution.
Would a simple authorization for one single project be enough for you? Then read here how you can request approvals for projects and templates quickly and easily from those responsible.
Requirements
General access can be assigned by the cloud owner from the team cloud on. Access rights can be granted to all cloud users in the authorization group "Employees". Similar to the access rights in the individual project, employees can only receive general reading rights, while planners or admins can receive general editing rights.
Please note: Once the general access has been activated, it can no longer be deactivated in the cloud.
But do not worry! As the cloud owner, you can, of course, adjust the conditions at any time, i.e., extend the general access rights to more users or reduce access again on a person-specific basis.
Field of application
Besides the projects in the usual active or planned mode, drafts, archived projects, and templates are also affected by the general access. Especially persons or teams with general access have a massive influence on what happens in your cloud.
Exception: Excluded from the general access are projects that have been set to “confidential” in the access rights by the person in charge.
Allocation of the general access
General access rights can be assigned via "Settings" by clicking on "Team Management" and then "Access rights" in the "General access rights" category.
To start, simply flip the switch to activate it.
Now you will see a list of all cloud members to whom you can assign general access rights. You can either assign this right to individuals or directly to an entire team: e.g., all admins or the management.
With just one click, you can quickly allocate the rights.
Note on projects
In the access rights of an existing project as well as during the creation of a new project, you, as the person in charge, are informed who has general access to your cloud. As the cloud owner is responsible for assigning general access rights, a project owner — even as an admin — has no influence on this.
